From woodland to open ground
Qiqi Cycling Club presents a Boduoluo e-MTB outing with mossy forest, alpine meadows and views towards Yulong Snow Mountain.
If you enjoy changing terrain and scenery, start by comparing locally operated traverse projects. Explain what you normally ride, the climbing you are comfortable with and whether you need a vehicle transfer, rather than choosing from a mountain cover photo.
A different rhythm in the park
A rider’s video shows shaped dirt turns and rollers among pine trees on part of Qiqi Bike Park’s first track.
For repeated practice and time to learn a section, a park project offers another choice. Natural trails and constructed tracks have different pleasures. Choose the way you want to ride, rather than trying to fit every striking clip into one day.
The trade-offs
A mountain day needs time for the ascent, transfers, rest and return. Sightseeing and riding may use different locations or bookings; more activities mean less time for each. Riders with different experience may also need different surfaces and descent difficulty.
Choosing the season
May–October is Lijiang’s wet season, with more rain in July–August; plan for temperature changes through the day. Drier periods are worth comparing, but a clear mountain view depends on the weather rather than a month label.
Specific rides are provided by local clubs or operators. NiHaoFriend can learn your preferences and help connect language support, equipment and transport.
